The University of Utah Department of Pediatrics Division of Critical Care includes over 100 faculty and staff who regularly design and conduct research in the following areas:
- Injury control
- EMS
- Trauma systems
- Clinical research
- Clinical trials
- Data systems
- Probabilistic linkage methods
We are also pursuing active quality improvement projects to refine care for pediatric sepsis, traumatic brain injury, and prevention of nosocomial infections.
Current education efforts focus on medical simulations to improve delivery of urgent care and resuscitation efforts.
