Academic Bio
Dr. Peterson is an accomplished clinical trialist who specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the digestive system focusing on Eosinophilic Esophagitis and Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease. She completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern, followed by a residency and a fellowship at the University of Utah. She received her Masters in Epidemiology at Harvard University. Currently, she is the Associate Chief of Gastroenterology in Internal Medicine and the Director of Research for the Division of Gastroenterology. She has experience in pharmaceutical trials as well as investigator-initiated and NIH-funded projects.
Her passion for research focuses on bridging disciplines and developing collaboration across departments.
