My pediatric residency was at Eastern Virginia Medical School. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. My current research focuses on the use of psychotropic, analgesic and sedation medications in the NICU. Aims to explore trends in prescribing practices and their relationship to patient diagnoses, clinical management, length of stay and discharge planning. I chose University of Utah because I was seeking a fellowship in a Level 4 NICU with a large catchment area to gain exposure to diverse neonatal pathologies. This experience is essential for building a strong foundation in managing complex conditions and discharge planning in resource-limited settings.
