Must be a U.S. Citizen. We encourage participation from all individuals, especially individuals who can demonstrate a strong interest in contributing to Native American/Alaska Native representation in healthcare and STEM fields.
Be enrolled in a four-year college for Fall 2025, with a graduation date of December 2026 or later. OR recently graduated in May of that year.
Have completed their sophomore year before attending the NARI program. Sophomore students are encouraged to apply.
No previous research is required, but applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in STEM, bioinformatics, medicine, dental, healthcare, allied healthcare fields, or medical research.
Have a strong interest in pursuing graduate school (Masters, Professional, PhD or MD/PhD).
Must be available to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday for a 10-week period, beginning May 26-July 31, 2026.
Past NARI students will be considered for a second summer track if they still meet all criteria mentioned above.
