Business Intelligence
Our Business Intelligence (BI) team is dedicated to helping our customers leverage data to make more informed decisions. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and to develop a comprehensive BI strategy, ensuring a robust warehousing architecture, data quality, accurate analysis, and meaningful reporting. Our services include:
- Designing and modifying data systems, which includes the implementation of architecture and database designs
- Developing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, which moves data from one or more sources and loads into a data warehouse for analysis
- Designing and developing multi-dimensional Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cubes to perform complex calculations, trend analyses, and data modeling
- Utilizing data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to create dynamic, interactive visualizations that enable users to engage with the data, leading to valuable insights
- A range of standardized, as well as custom, reports including: Enrollment, Demographics, Query aging, Study start metrics, Cohort enrollment, and custom dashboards.
The Utah DCC is proud to partner with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for the National EMS Information System (NEMSIS). Our BI team created and supports multiple publicly available dashboards, including:
- Public Motor Vehicle Crash Dashboard
- Heat-Related EMS Activation Surveillance Dashboard
- Opioid Overdose Tracker
- Public Naloxone Administration Dashboard
