The Utah Data Coordinating Center (DCC) supports investigators and sponsors throughout all phases of research.

Our studies: We have extensive experience designing and coordinating complex multicenter registries, observational studies, and randomized trials from concept to execution and publication. Our studies evaluate pharmaceuticals and biologics, medical devices, and medical procedures from pediatrics to adults.
Our networks: We have supported 12 clinical research networks and technical assistance centers (TACs) conducting research in disease or population-specific groups. In some cases, we have provided support for more than a decade.
Our staff: We have 11 biostatistics, epidemiology, and clinical faculty with PhD or MD degrees to serve as Principal Investigators on our studies, to oversee and support studies, analyses, and publications. We also have over 130 professionals - including Masters-level Biostatisticians, Clinical Data Managers, Project Managers, Business Intelligence Developers, Software Design Engineers, System Administrators, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance personnel - to support our projects.
Our large-scale IT projects: We have expertise in multiple IT domains, including: software development, business intelligence, data architecture, cybersecurity, systems administration, and IT project management. In addition to hosting an on-premises data center to serve the needs of the Utah DCC, we host secure workloads in AWS in a FISMA-Moderate environment for our federal partners. We host the national repository for EMS data, which includes the collection, validation, and transformation of more than 50 million records annually.
